Mad Mate

Pieces are marked on opposite sides and are used according to standard chess rules, only the King is one-sided. A captured piece is taken off the board and turned over to the other player’s color, it thus becomes a reserve piece of the capturing player, who can introduce the piece on any square of the board with the exception of rank eight. When a pawn reaches rank eight, he can be swapped for any piece of the opposing reserve. If this is not possible, the pawn remains in position for the rest of the game-´.
