Project Kells

 

In 3 phases players try to cover the land with a net of celtic knots. If a king occupies a free hill a fortress is created. Kings move like the horsemen in chess. After 11 fortresses gained by one player Phase 2 begins, the fortresses are connected with bridges, knots are formed. In phase 3 the kings are taken off the board and the knots finalised.
