Bonaparte at Marengo

80 wooden pieces represent the French and Austrian troops at Marengo, each player tries to defeat the other by removing pieces and conquering of terrain. The 16 rounds of the game represent 16 hours of real time during the battle, each round consists of a French and Austrian turn. Each player moves his pieces and can attack opposing pieces. The phases of a round are: Enacting announces artillery fire, attacks of infantry and cavalry, movement, and announcement of artillery fire for the next round. If there is no defeated army at the end, the occupation of Austrian positions at the border of the board.
