Kings and Castles

William the Conquerer is about to cross the Channel to invade England. Players are his most trusted nobles and stand ready to carve out a barony for themselves in England. For the next four hundred years the families of these nobles serve the king – fighting his wars, building his castles, collecting his taxes – and getting themselves rich and powerful. In the end the richest player will win, the kings take their turns in chronological order, then a tax phase is played. A move comprises drawing of counters, attacks, placement of castles, taxation and array adjustment.
