Canal Mania
Canal Mania simulates the
construction of the English canal system, players score points for building
locks, aqueducts and tunnels, for moving goods and completing canal contracts,
the player with the most points wins. Each turn has three phases, actions are:
Accept contracts from parliament, exchange engineers or discard building cards
in phase 1, take up building cards or build tiles in phase 2 and move a goods
marker in phase 3, or draw a card from the pile in any phase. The game ends
with the last set of 5 contracts in parliament or when a players
token reaches a preset position on the score track.
