In the Polynesian
Islands players try to
develop new living space in the roles of fishers and seafarers. Fishes must be
caught to change them into Kauri money or fame. Each round of the game has 4
phases: Bid for playing sequence, building costs and range of ships, relocate
the Fisher God, complete actions and note loss of value. Actions are building
of huts against payment of Kauris, catch fish by rolling the die, sell fish for
Kauris, move or destroy opposing ships, enhance range of ships permanently and turn
fish into fame by celebrating. After 10 rounds and a final scoring the player
with the highest score of fame wins the game.
