Jungle

The game is based on the Chinese Dou Shou Qi, the so called game of the fighting animals, all are afraid of the lion – tiger, panther and wolf, only the elephant kongronts the lion, but is frightened away when the rat attacks. Aim of the game is to conquer the opposite lair. You may not move one of your pieces into your lair. The lair is protected by three trap squares; an animal on those traps automatically has strength 0 and cannot defend itself. The lakes are jumped over by lion and tiger and can be swum by the rat. You alternate in moving an animal one space orthogonally. If the target square is occupied, you can only enter it with an animal of greater strength, if you do so you defeat the weaker animal.
