Dinosaurs
roam the earth, graze, fight, multiply and mutate, and the players are rather
busy to keep them alive. Each player starts with a basic dinosaur with one leg,
one normal tail, one sun screen and one piece of fur, that lets him move one
dino one square and to keep him alive in cool or moderately warm weather. In
each round genes are auctioned to supplement the basic dino and to give the
player more possibilities for his dinos. Each round consists of 6 phases:
Determine climate changes, move dinos and fight, if necessary, multiply and
determine surviving dinos, score development points for surviving dinos
(depending on climate and protection units on the basic dino) and – if the
meteorite does not come – auction new genes against development points. If the
meteorite appears, the game ends and the player with the most development
points wins.
