Mages must defeat their world against monsters but are bound by a vow of silence and must coordinate their spells without communicating. You hold spell cards in hand as dealt, the first level card is turned up and monsters are laid out as indicated on the level card, openly or face-down. The Quest Book tells you the story and rules of the level. Then, all indicate the quality of their hand with a hand signal and then, in turn, either pass or place a spell card face-down on an accessible monster. Then attacks on monsters are resolved; when the total of all spells at a monster is higher or equal to the monster’s strength, the monster is defeated, and an eventual effect is resolved. When the strength is not met, the cards remain, and the attack can continue in the next round. When all monsters were defeated, a level is won. Progress can be saved after each level.
