Adaptoid

 

Somewhere in the universe, Geneticists have been doing genetic experiments, and experiment Nr. 24 went horribly wrong. The resulting Adaptoid hunts the only surviving Geneticist who has shield and weapons which must be reactivated or recharged after use. Adaptoid has a basic strength that increasing during the game. For both Geneticist and Adaptoid, a row of cards is laid out, with room between for location cards. Both players choose a card from hand for a location to hide or begin the hunt. Both cards are then revealed; if the same room was chosen, fighting results; the Adaptoid can only be fended off to allow the Geneticist to flee. In different rooms, the Geneticist can reactivate his weapons and the Adaptoid can leave a piece of himself for a future trap. The Adaptoid can also take a card for defense, attack or evolution. The sequence of hunt-flee-defend is repeated six times; then damage is assessed, and the location cards are reshuffled. After six more sequences the Geneticist wins if not overpowered by the Adaptoid.
