Puerto Rico 1897

 

Thematically revised new edition of Puerto Rico; topic are no longer colonists but you are an independent farmer in competition with others; the mechanism has remained the same. In a round, you select one of seven roles, which are now: Planter laying out of new plantation, Producer to making new goods, Trader or Captain to sell or ship those goods, Builder to construct buildings in town, Recruiter for new workers and adventurer who gets gold from the bank. Each role provides a privilege to the current owner and an action for all players; the order of resolving the roles changes in every round. You win, if you own the most victory points at the end of the game.
