Dreadful Circus
Magic of a circus, albeit a beautiful and terrible one of artists and clowns. Each ringmaster leads one of eight macabre circuses, which move across the world and present their own attractions. At the same time, you try to outsmart the other ringmasters and grab the best exposition pieces from under their noses. You draw eicht cards – attraction for points and actions for performances; cards can also be drafted; you place one card from your hand into your ring at the start and at the end of the game. The remaining cards are offered to the other ringmasters in turn for auction – offers can contain money and also contracts for five locations and are placed secretly next to a card; the auctioneer selects one and decides to accept or reject the offer. Won attraction go into your ring, and offer maybe advantages for further auctions. Performances are resolved, for interaction. When only three cards in hand are left, you score for coins, contracts, and attractions as well as Sweet Sets.
