You draw a path on your own board, from an entry volcano via the middle of the earth to an exit volcano; in each round, an expedition and a path card is turned up; they indicate in which row or column you mark which type of path segment. The segment is entered into any free square on the board, in any orientation. On the way, you discover water, fossils or locations which are also enters as specified. Discoveries Are also entered on the score sheet. Persons can be asked for help, are de-activated afterwards and only reactivated when all 12 path cards have been used; at that point, you also must have one unit of water to cross out or are out of the game. When the expedition cards are used, a volcano and cannot be used anymore as an exit, When only one player is left or the third volcano erupts or someone has reached middle and exit, the game is scored. Includes a solo variant.
