Wie die Wombats

 

You guess the number of wombats that are hiding on which card and place the cards in sequence.  Stacks of wombat cards are prepared for all five rounds, each stack is covered with a task card that shows a pattern that must be formed with the cards, the number of wombats on cards must increase in direction of the arrows. The task card of the round is revealed and the timer is started. Wombat cards are then spread out and in turn you have an action – place a new wombat card adjacent to one already in position, remove a card or switch two cards already placed; discussions are allowed. In each round you can turn over the sand timer twice, for two penalty points each. When you are done, you check the card back sides for the correct sequence and score points for none or only one mistake and penalty points for each mistake in horizontal or vertical row, the wombat is moved accordingly on the points track. When 20 penalty points have been accrued, all have lost, otherwise the team success is judged by the points. A variant for experienced players is included.
