Expedition Congo River 1884
The first game of the Expedition series takes us on board of a paddle-wheel steamboat that is leaving Leopoldville in Congo to sail up the Congo River to Kindu. Each player controls a group of travelers who should take control of stations along the way. One round comprises revealing of a station tile, drawing of cards, commanding the station and moving the steamboat. You use cards to bid for commanding the station, you play one character card and maybe a special card (only one player), but then you can play any number of auxiliary cards to enhance the value of the character. If you then control the station you win victory points. When the boat moves out of Kindu the game ends and you win with most victory points.
