BattleLore combines elements of board games, role-playing games and tabletop into a conflict between to fraction based on scenarios. Background for the beautiful and sumptuously equipped game is Europe in the Middle Ages, enriched by fantasy elements.  A move comprises the phases command, activate, move, conflict and drawing. Aim of the game is to conquer a certain number of victory banners, either from the banner bearer of a beaten enemy unit or for crest tiles earned by conquering landscape tiles or other reaching other scenario goals.

The new units in the expansion, with rules, are:
